Its the 6th annual TNT Mountain bike race in Montvale, Va.   This is one of the late season races in the Virginia Off Road Series(VORS) were points will be available. The course is 95+% single track that criss-crosses through old growth oak forests and is fast.  Come out and experience Montvale’s hidden treasure trove of trails, you’ll have a great time…I gaurantee it!

CASH prizes for top 3 Male & Female Expert & Single Speed!

The start/finish will be in the approximate location of the new shelter.  The start is the same as last year, from the NEW SHELTER go UP the gravel road and about 1/3 of the way there is a mowed grass path on the right with a Yellow directional arrow-follow the arrows which will lead you around the perimeter of the fields and into the trail.  From that point there are yellow arrows(yellow card w/ black arrows) at every turn.  There are 2 creek crossings, 1 at the start of each lap and one toward the end of each lap.

  1. where is the course exactly? the GPS address puts me at Butterfields Golfcart Sales. I used to live in Lynchburg and remember driving by there on my way to Roanoke.

    • Eric,
That address is actually the Montvale Elementary School(which is across 460 from Butterfield’s). The race start at the lower baseball field skirts around the edge if the “hay” field and there is an opening on the left that goes across Goose Creek and that where the the trails begin. The course won’t be maked for a while but I’ll try to get a course map up in the next couple weeks.
      Thanks,
      Kenny

  2. I am stoked about tomorrows race!!!!!!! Hope it’s a nice day. I rode that trail two weeks ago and it was amazing!

  3. I tried to sign up for the 2012 race, but don’t see a Beginner group for adult Females.
