Montvale Park Trails

Bedford County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the Montvale Park trail system is open for use by hikers, mountain bikers and trail runners looking for an interesting and adventurous excursion in the outdoors.  The trails are getting worn in and will only get better the more they are used.  At present the total trail mileage is about 6.5 miles with another mile currently being developed.  The system is a ”stacked loop” meaning the farther you venture from the parking area the more your fitness and technical ability will be challenged.   Most of the trail signs are posted with only a handful of signs to be posted.

Your feedback is a useful tool to help us make sure the trails are properly maintained.  Please contact me with information on downed trees across trail or other maintenance issues.  Also, positive feedback will help to insure our trails program continues to be a priority for outdoor recreation in Bedford County.
