Come out and play the 18 hole Disc Golf course at Falling Creek Park. We have worked closely with local volunteers who have provided a lot of expertise and labor laying out the course. The course at Falling Creek Park is designed to suite the needs of beginners and advanced players alike. There are alternate basket locations which the area disc golf club changes out on the 15th of each month to give the course a different feel. We also have Blue or “pro” (more difficult) tee areas for the most advanced players to test their skills. The “pro” tees are white 6″ x 6″ x 4ft long wooden boards buried flush in the ground. Mapping via GPS is complete with Tee to basket distances and course layout. We have both an aerial view which is displayed above and a downloadable animated PDF version.
PLEASE CARRY OUT ALL EMPTY BOTTLES AND OR CANS AND OTHER TRASH YOU BRING WITH YOU TO THE COURSE. TRASH IS BEING LEFT ON THE COURSE AND IS BECOMING A PROBLEM, THERE IS A TRASH CAN AT THE BRIDGE AT HOLE #10. PLEASE USE THE TRASH CAN OR CARRY YOUR TRASH HOME WITH YOU.

I am very grateful to the Bedford County Parks and Rec. for allowing Falling Creek to be home to the County’s first public 18 hole course. This course fits perfectly into the beautiful landscape of trails, woods, and the fields of mature cedars. This is the course that veteran players have been waiting for. Like the the rest of the park, it will be “first class!” Bring your family and enjoy all of the park’s amenities. It’s worth the drive from Lynchburg, Roanoke or anywhere in between.
Join us for the course’s first tournament Saturday, January 24th. Check out http://www.piedmontdgc.org for more details on this and the other local “Brawl V” tournaments.
See you out on the course very soon!

Falling Creek Disc Golf is definitely like no other course around. The big cedar trees, long maintained greens and great park atmosphere are wonderful. This is fast becomming one of the finest courses with technical and long arm shots. Once you step on the brick tee pads, the course draws you in and leaves you wanting more! No longer will you be able to play one round and go, this course will drive you to learn new shots and perfect the ones you have.
Thanks to Bedford County for their detail to perfection and vision to see the potential of some great venues at one park. With places for big and little kids alike to play at one stop. It’s wonderful to have a new place as a second home and spend some quality family time! My boys love to play on the playground, disc golf course and mountain bike trails!
If this park is somewhere near your route, it is worth the effort to make this stop! If you live nearby, it will soon be your favorite! See you at the tee pads!

I love Falling Creek Disc Golf Course! It is very challenging, yet is an easy walk. I think it’s an excellent addition to our region. Falling Creek Park itself is a wonderful park as well for county residents and families. Everything the county has done there so far is first-class and this includes the disc golf course.
I’d like to thank Andy Greenough, Steve Bowman, and Kenny Palmer for all the work they have put into the course. I’d also like to thank Bedford County Parks and Rec for putting in this championship course; particularly Mr. Michael Stokes, without whom this course wouldn’t be here.
Thanks, guys! See you out at the course!

Great course! Favors consistent play and controlled shots (especially in the wind!). I’d like to see some benches next to the tees for at least the back nine.

Great course, with variety of lengths and fairway angles, but I especially was impressed with the beautiful brick tee pads that are in and the clean cut fairways. Thanks to the park officials and all the volunteers who have a created what’s sure to be a favorite spot for SW and central VA disc golfers!!

What a beautiful park, and a wonderful place to have a disc golf course. Enough cannot be said about my personal appreciation for the hard work of the county employees, and volunteers who have worked so hard to build one of the nicest courses I have had the privilege of playing. Thanks to Bedford County for their commitment to our fine sport. This course makes the 50 minute drive from Amherst County more than worthwhile.

I am having a great time playing on this new course. Before this park was put in I had to drive to Lynchburg or Appomattox to get a round in but now I have a course less than 10 minutes from my house. Can’t wait for the spring and the blue tees and alternate pin positions. I would like to say “Thanks” and “Great Job!!” to Bedford County Parks and Rec and Kenny for all the hard work he has put into the course!! If anybody ever needs a partner for a round please feel free to e-mail me at scoutinoa@hotmail.com
I am only 5 minutes away!!!

This course is great. I am originally from Iowa and this course is as good as any I played in Midwest. Great job and thanks for all the time and work you have put in to make Falling Creek Park such an amazing park.

Congratulations and thanks to all who helped to make this course a reality. And, of course, thanks to Bedford County for recognizing the additional value that disc golf brings to their fine park. Well done…all.

This is one of the prettiest parks I have been to. It is so well kept, and has so much to do. The frisbee golf course is one of the best around. Well done!

I showed up one muggy day at high noon to find Kenny mowing the grass. He saw that I had my disks in hand, he turned off the motor, came over, introduced himself and talked me through the course.
I proceeded to shoot a 17 over (yikes) playing every hole as a par 3, but I had a blast. I had a couple of GREAT holes (2 on 10, thank you), and even found a local’s disk deep in the weeds on 18 (which I handed off to the mowing Kenny).
I’ve played a fair amount of courses, and this, by far, is the best course I’ve played in VA. There’s a great variety in terms of length, and difficulty. It’s very rewarding to play, and keeps you on your toes.
I really hope you guys add 9 or 18 more… because I plan to come back in the fall.
Cheers, and thanks again.
